Biographical sketch

Studies of Pre- and Protohistory at the Universities of Vienna and Tübingen. 2019 PhD graduation with "Magna cum laude" on the topic "The C-A layers of Sibudu Cave (KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) in the light of the MSA lithic technologies in MIS 5" at the University of Tübingen. 2019 employed researcher at the University of Geneva to analyse the lithic artefact assemblage of Toumboura III, Senegal. Since 2019 associated researcher at the University of Tübingen. From December 2020 to February 2021 postdoc at the Institute for Oriental and European Archeology (OREA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). Since 2014 lecturer at the Institute for Pre- and Protohistory and Archaeology of the Medieval times at the University of Tübingen.

    • Prehistoric archaeology in southern Africa and Europe
    • Gain in knowledge about human evolution in the Pleistocene in a wide-ranging context
    • Excavations and research of the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic as well as Middle and Later Stone Age
    • Population dynamics, knowledge transfer and interconnectedness of prehistoric societies
    • The development of technological systems of hunters and gatherers
    • Analysing of finds of old collections
