Biographical sketch

Studied Prehistory and Early History at the University of Vienna. 2009 PhD on "The Upper Palaeolithic stations at the Kargl brickyard in Langenlois, Lower Austria". Since 2000 research associate at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and since 2017 head of the Quaternary Archaeology Research Group.
Since 2003 teaching at the Institute for Prehistory and Historical Archaeology at the University of Vienna. Excavation director of the Upper Palaeolithic excavations Krems-Wachtberg (2005-2015) and Kammern-Grubgraben (since 2015).
Expert for the Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments.
