Academic Backgroung

Katharina Polsterer studied Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Applied Sciences Graz, and Linguistics at the Universities of Graz and Groningen (Netherlands). For her master thesis, she investigated how auditory-motor learning changes across typical aging.

Current Research

Katharina is a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen. Since 2025, she has also been affiliated with the Acoustics Research Institute as a guest researcher. In her project, she examines typical aging of speech motor control and the influences of cognitive and sensory functions on speech production.
