Academic background

Melissa Mack studied at Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. In 2024, she received her BA in ‘English Language and Culture’. In 2026, she obtained her MA degree in ‘Linguistics and Communication Sciences (research)’. Her master’s thesis investigated the relationship between sentence context and the lexical frequency effect in spoken word production.

Current Research

Since September 2026, Melissa Mack has been a PhD student in the Phonetics Group at the Acoustics Research Institute. Her research investigates the integration of informational cues during spoken-word recognition.
