Academic background

Matteo Briani studied Civil and Building Systems Engineering at the University of Bologna. Following his graduation, with a thesis on Acoustic Quality in Theaters and Concert-Halls, he gained hands-on experience in acoustics by working for accredited acoustics laboratories, focusing on acoustic material testing, environmental acoustics, and industrial noise control. He then expanded this expertise into automotive and aerospace projects, working for companies that produce car components and helicopter interiors. Currently, at the Acoustics Research Institute (ARI), he works in the Numerics Cluster, researching a new beamforming algorithm using the inverse method.
