ETL’s library contains over 16,000 books and reprints covering both theory and jurisprudential matters along with more than 20 different jurisdictions. This is complemented with a large number of national and international journals and magazines alongside the relevant electronic subscriptions.

Although the focus of the Institute's collection lies naturally in the area of tort this is often situated within the general realm of the relevant private law of many of the jurisdictions covered.  The library also holds a substantial collection of works covering banking, intellectual property and private international law.

Research Stays

The Institute is well aware of the benefits that collaborative research has in the field of European private law and for that reason it is keen to extend the use of its collection to those scholars working in this, or related, fields who would benefit from its wide coverage and perhaps do not have access to relevant works in their home institutions.
