Joint RQ ISMANAM in Warsaw after 3 years COVID break and Best Poster Award!
After 3 Years of COVID 19 break the joint ISMANAM 27 (27th International Symposium on Metastable and Amorphous Materials) and the RQ 17 (17th Conference on Rapidly Quenched Materials) was held in Warsaw at the Technical University from The joint meeting was devoted to the celebration on behalf of 60 years of the discovery of metallic glasses in 1960. Due to the COVID 19 break the quality of the presented research was outstanding. A strong delegation of the Chair of Materials Physics and the ESI gave presentations during the conference including a historical view on the community from a western European point of view given by Prof. Jürgen Eckert. During the conference dinner held at the Royal Castle in Warsaw the poster presented by Sepide Hadibeik was awarded with the “Best Poster Award”.
After so many years the meeting was a great occasion to meet the colleagues and friends from the field and to foster the international collaboration, so important for scientific progress.
Nach drei Jahren COVID-19-Pause fanden ab 2019 in Warschau an der Technischen Universität das gemeinsame ISMANAM 27 ((27th International Symposium on Metastable and Amorphous Materials) und die RQ 17 (17th Conference on Rapidly Quenched Materials) statt. Das gemeinsame Treffen war der Feier der Entdeckung metallischer Gläser vor 60 Jahren im Jahr 1960gewidmet. Aufgrund der COVID-19-Pause war die Qualität der präsentierten Forschung herausragend. Eine starke Delegation des Lehrstuhls für Materialphysik und des ESI hielt während der Konferenz Vorträge, darunter einen historischen Blick auf die Community aus westeuropäischer Sicht von Prof. Jürgen Eckert. Während des Konferenzdinners im Warschauer Königsschloss wurde das von Sepide Hadibeik präsentierte Poster mit dem „Best Poster Award“ ausgezeichnet.
Nach so vielen Jahren war das Treffen eine großartige Gelegenheit, Kollegen und Freunde aus der Community zu treffen und die für den wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt so wichtige internationale Zusammenarbeit zu fördern.
