As part of the project TransHerit, our team from the Institute for Urban and Regional Research, Austrian Academy of Sciences, along with Manuel Aalbers and Maria Gravari-Barbas, members of the advisory board, visited the 10th district of Vienna on the 14th of November 2025. The group started the tour at the Arbeiterheim Favoriten, learning about the history of the building and continued to look at some recent transformation projects in the area, such as the Van-der-Nüll-Gasse 20 and 22. Later, we visited the Supergrätzl, a public space rehabilitation project inspired by the Superblock of Barcelona, as well as a tenement house transformation and refurbishment project. Finally, we met members of the local area management office (GB* Stadtteilbüro) who told us about their projects in the neighbourhood.

Participants:
Sandra Guinand, Viktória Éva Lélek (ÖAW/ISR), Hanna Szemzö (MRI, Budapest), Manuel Aalbers (KU Leuven), Maria Gravari-Barbas (Eirest, Paris1-Sorbonne University), Konstantin Böck (SPÖ Favoriten) and members of the GB* Stadtteilbüro responsible for districts 3,4,5,10,11.
