Austria and Hungary between past and present’

Austria and Hungary share a geographical neighbourhood as well as a partly common history - but are these similarities also reflected in the development of their media landscapes? The project *Transherit* - a cooperation between the ÖAW Institute for Urban Research and the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Research (CMC) - analyses discourses of leading Hungarian and Austrian media on urban development in Vienna and Budapest. Dr Konrad Bleyer-Simon is a research associate at the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (European University Institute) and works at the EDMO's Policy Analysis and Research Unit.
