The Austrian Federal Statistical Office provides anonymised individual data from the 2011 REGISTER COUNT to the state statistical services for the respective federal state. The provision of the respective federal state data is a federal service within the framework of the agreement pursuant to Art. 15a B-VG. The characteristics, their breakdowns and their definitions are based on the UNECE recommendations for population and housing censuses, the CES Recommendations. The data set comes from Statistics Austria and was prepared by MA23. "The register census is a complete survey of the entire Austrian population (population census) and its characteristics, as well as businesses, workplaces, buildings and dwellings. The statistical characteristics are not collected from the individuals themselves via questionnaires, but are taken exclusively from administrative registers." The 2011 register census refers to the reference date 31 October 2011 The 2021 register census refers to the reference date 31 October 2021
