Biographical sketch

Studies in Classical Philology, doctorate in the field Philosophy of Language with a thesis on the language of the Pre-Socratics (University of Palermo/Humboldt University of Berlin), habilitation in Classical Philology with a thesis on early tragic narrative art (University of Vienna). Research positions, lectureships and longer research stays at the universities of Salzburg, Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Nottingham and Heidelberg. Since 2012 also responsible for FWF projects (programmes: Hertha Firnberg and Elise Richter), since 2021 working at the Austrian Archaeological Institute as project manager.
