Biographical sketch
BSc in Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Erasmus Mundus MSc in Archaeological Materials Science, focusing in the chemical and mineralogical composition of green paint layers and degradation factors in mural paintings. Research fellow in Heritage Science at Nottingham Trent University focusing on software development for heritage science campaigns, as well as non-invasive material analysis of watercolour paintings by XRF, Raman spectroscopy and FORS. Current PhD candidate at the Austrian Archaeological Institute and the University of Vienna, research topic: Ancient Pigment Trade and Production during the Hellenistic and Roman periods in the Mediterranean Region.

- Study of Egyptian blue production and processed pigments
- Development of protocols for sampling techniques for isotope and trace element analysis
- Data modelling strategies to visualize mining, trade and pigment production sites
