IWF Graz inaugurates the FWF project "Redox Disequilibrium in the Clouds of Venus – A Sign of Life? (VeReDo)"

From 12 to 15 November 2024 IWF Graz hosts the inaugural team meeting for the project Redox Disequilibrium in the Clouds of Venus - A Sign of Life? (VeReDo), which is funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).

Distinguished researchers will give talk about upcoming Venus missions (Envision - Emmanuel Marcq, Venus Life Finder - Janusz Petkowski), laboratory astrochemistry  (Martin Ferus, Katerina Nemeckova), numerical astrochemistry  (Paul Rimmer, Tereza Constatinou) as well as quantum chemistry (Giuseppe Cassone) and astrobiology  (Alexander Mahnert).

In addition, seven members from four IWF research groups will present various aspects of Venus studies: Nidhi Bangera, Helmut Lammer, Daniel Schmid, Cyril Simon-Wedlund, Fabian Weichbold  together with the two organizers Peter Woitke and Manuel Scherf.

The meeting is open to everyone. The talks can be followed at the institute or via Zoom (passcode: 1fVuGp).
