The workshop is organized by Europlanet, the British Astronomical Association, Planetarium Prague and the Czech cometary community SMPH and will bring together professional and amateur members of the cometary science and observational community.

The aim of the workshop is to strengthen relationships and collaboration between professional comet researchers and amateurs, based on common challenges and opportunities. An inventory will be taken to show where cometary science stands post-Rosetta and how Pro-Am observations fit into potential future research.

The workshop will be a mix of invited and contributed talks  as well as roundtable discussions, addressing the following topics: 

• Comet science overview
• Pro-Am campaigns
• Imaging equipment, techniques and standards
• Processing methodologies
• Standardization of methodologies and parameters
• Archiving data and simplifying access to datasets
• Broadening participation/outreach/education
