oeai.DAM serves as a platform for images, videos and digital assets at the OeAI and can be used either publicly or only password-protected, using an OeAI account. In addition to inventory backup, it also offers simple and efficient management and provision of digital assets for ongoing projects. It can also be used as an interface for media sources to other OeAW and project-related applications. In addition to the common image and film formats, Pdf, 2D and 3D formats are also supported and a controlled vocabulary including links to standard databases is offered.
As of January 2025, oeai.DAM has more than 363,000 data records, divided into 9 pools. In addition to excavation and find documentation, over 25,000 plans, 60,000 black and white images of the old inventory, which are divided into glass plates and B-W negatives, and 3D scans are recorded. Of the total inventory, more than 28,000 images are available Open Access.
