Biography


Born in Innsbruck, 1962; studied History, German, English and American Literature in Salzburg. Researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (since 2004), teaching assignments at the Institute for German Studies in Salzburg and for German as a Foreign Language at the University of Linz; works within various research projects on literature and as a scientific editor of the journal “Sprachkunst”; guest professor in Leiden (2016); before lecturer in Sheffield, Osaka and Olomouc and literary critic for the newspaper “Der Standard”.
