Will Prentice hat einen Master-Abschluss vom Goldsmiths College, University of London. Von 1999 bis 2022 war er Mitarbeiter des British Library Sound Archive. Seit 2022 ist er am Phonogrammarchiv tätig mit Fokus auf Strategien zur Digitalisierung und Konservierung von Audio-Trägern. Er ist derzeit Stiftungsratsmitglied des EMI Archive Trust und Mitglied des IASA Technical and Training & Education Committees.
