During my PhD (with Prof. Uta Noppeney in the Computational Cognitive Neuroimaging group) I studied multisensory perception and decision making. More specifically, I performed audiovisual psychophysics experiments (spatial ventriloquism and McGurk effect) to validate existing probabilistic models of multisensory integration and Bayesian confidence reports.

Derzeitige Forschung

As part of the Dynamates project, I currently investigate how human and non-human primates use spatial and temporal predictions to guide auditory perception in uncertain dynamic environments. To this end, I compare results from various computational models (Bayesian and heuristics) to behavioral responses and electrophysiological data acquired during auditory change-point experiments wherein reliability and relevance of the prior stimuli sequences are manipulated.
