Editor’s Choice in 2024

A joint paper dealing with the mechanical and electrical properties of ceramics has been selected by the Editor-in-Chief as Editor’s Choice 2024 in the Journal of the American Ceramic Society (JACerS).

The paper presented a combinatorial characterization of the structure and properties in Potassium sodium niobate (KNN)--based ceramics doped with transition metal oxides and rare earth oxides. These KNN-based ceramics exhibit outstanding electrical properties and remarkable mechanical robustness compared to conventional toughened lead zirconate titanate (PZT)-based ceramics. This is a joint research between the Erich Schmid Institute and Hubei University, Wuhan, China. The Editor-in-Chief recommends this outstanding article.
