»Tells and pile-dwellings: diverse insights into early agricultural and foraging practices in northern Macedonia (6th and 5th millennia BC)«
Ferran Antolín | Deutsches Archäologisches Institut Berlin, Zentrale-ZWA, Leiter Referat Naturwissenschaften
The recent archaeological focus on the Neolithic in northern Macedonia has revealed a wealth of archaeobotanical data that was previously unavailable in the wider region. Particularly unique to the area is the presence of both tell sites and pile dwellings, making it an ideal case study for the study of plant economy. This talk will provide an overview of the results obtained by the various teams working in the area, as well as some of the most exciting new aspects to be investigated in the coming years.
