The current project builds on long-term ethnographic research among Musa Dagh Armenian communities in Lebanon and Armenia and focuses on the role of literary narratives, commemorative practices, and collective memory in post-genocide identity formation.

The project examines how historical experiences of violence, displacement, and survival are transmitted through oral history, literature, and cultural heritage practices, and how these narratives interact with contemporary political, social, and institutional contexts. Particular attention is paid to the circulation and reception of literary representations of the Musa Dagh resistance and their impact on community memory and identity construction.
