The conference attracted more than 80 participants to review the current status of our understanding of the universe and to discuss current and future challenges. The expert participants presented 62 high-level talks in theoretical and experimental particle physics, astrophysics, astroparticle physics, and gravitational wave physics, with substantial time dedicated to discussing results and ideas.
One of the highlights of the conference was a special seminar by NASA James Webb Space Telescope, system engineer Begona Vila, who gave a very detailed overview of how JWST started, how it is operating, and what is to be expected in the future.
Overall, the conference was a great success for the participants and the organisers, and it is foreseeable that some new collaborations between the participants will start in the near future, says Gianluca Inguglia, HEPHY scientist and chairperson of IPA 2022.
