For more than 40 years, the ArbeitsgemeinschaftChristliche Archäologie zur Erforschung spätantiker, frühmittelalterlicher und byzantinischer Kultur has been organizing regular conferences that provide the framework for scientific exchange. In 2023, the international meeting will take place in Vienna for the second time after 1986 and will be hosted by the ÖAI-ÖAW and the IKA-Uni Vienna.
