Open Day at the Excavation site in Kammern-Grubgraben

The Quaternary Archaeology Research Group of the Austrian Archaeological Institute cordially invites you to the Open Day 2026 at the Upper Palaeolithic excavation site Kammern-Grubgraben.

On Friday, 11th of September between 9 am and 2 pm, we will present the latest excavation results, uncovered stone features and find material to all visitors and will be available for all questions!

The excavation area is located in the vineyards of KG Kammern, MG Hadersdorf-Kammern, Lower Austria. For your orientation here is the site link: https://goo.gl/maps/FwFMuaHB4iex8Gvy8 . Parking is very limited in the area of the site itself. If possible, park further down and walk up the narrow path to the site.
