Presentation of the new final publications on the excavations at Çukuriçi Höyük
Volumes 3, 4 and 5
The interdisciplinary excavations of the prehistoric tell settlement Çukuriçi Höyük uncovered hitherto unknown time horizons in Ephesos, dating back to the earliest Neolithic cultivators around 8700 years ago. The subsequent settlement remains of the Chalcolithic (4th millennium) and the Early Bronze Age (beginning of the 3rd millennium) also provide fundamental new insights into prehistoric societies in these periods.
The analyses and studies were funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the European Research Council (ERC), the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW).
The numerous results of these investigations are continuously presented in international journals as well as in monographic volumes and are available in open access on a repository managed by the OeAW publishing house.
