In addition to the potential health risks, the lecture will also address the legal framework and ethical guidelines that must be observed when finding and working with the skeletal remains of deceased persons in Austria. In this context, the relevant procedures in the Department of Forensic Anthropology at MedUni Vienna's Centre for Forensic Medicine will be presented.
