The new book by Christoph Baier entitled »Die Palastanlage oberhalb des Theaters von Ephesos with contributions by Gerhard Forstenpointner, Alfred Galik, Walter Prochaska, Nikolaus Schindel, Özlem Vapur and Gerald E. Weissengruber« will be presented at the book launch. The publication is also the 50^th volume in the series »Forschungen in Ephesos«.

After the welcome adress by Sabine Ladstätter including an overview of »50 Jahre ›Forschungen in Ephesos‹. Rückblick und Vorschau«, Christoph Baier will introduce the publication. Following th lecture by Rudolf Haensch (Commission for Ancient History and Epigraphy of the German Archaeological Institute) on »Das Auftreten eines proconsul Asiae in seiner Provinz« we invite you to a buffet in the Aula of the OeAW.
