DigiLab, short for Digital Lab, is a new IMAFO laboratory dedicated to advancing digital humanities at the Institute for Medieval Research (IMAFO). Its primary objectives are to promote digital literacy, coordinate digital activities within IMAFO, provide expert advice to institute members, and foster cooperation with other institutes and institutions, both within and beyond the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

DigLab also coordinates DH projects at IMAFO and plans to maintain a database of ongoing digital projects on its website and facilitates regular coordination meetings among DH representatives from various IMAFO departments.

Finally, DigiLab engages in its own experimental digital projects, focused on use of AI and visualizations.
