







As part of the conference »Auf den Spuren des tief verwurzelten Erbes«, organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Austria in cooperation with the city of Şanlıurfa, the OeAI's new project on geoarchaeology at Göbekli Tepe in Turkey will be presented. The event will take place on Thursday, 23 October 2025, at 6 pm at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Favoritenstraße 15A, 1040 Vienna. In addition to Barbara Horejs, Scientific Director of the Department of Prehistory and West Asian/Northeast African Archaeology at the OeAI, Necmi Karul, head of the excavations at Göbeklitepe-Karahantepe, will also speak.
