The director of our institute, Prof. Claudia Rapp, receives the Karl Christ Prize for Ancient History. The prize, which is awarded in memory of the ancient historian Karl Christ (1923-2008) from Marburg, honors outstanding scientific achievements in the field of ancient history and its neighboring disciplines as well as the history of science and reception of antiquity. The prize is endowed with 25,000 euros and is awarded every two years.
