Epigraphy in historical Armenia

A mini-symposium organised by the Department of Byzantine Research and the Austrian-Armenian Studies Association sheds new light on inscriptions across three Millennia in historical Armenia

On 27 May, the Department of Byzantine Research (ABF) and the Austrian-Armenian Studies Association (ÖASG) organise a mini-symposium, at which three guest scholars from the Republic of Armenia present their research on epigraphy from the Kingdom of Van (Urartu, 1st Millennium BCE), the Roman period (1st Millennium CE) and medieval Armenia. The event will be opened by Doz. Andreas Rhoby and Prof. Lioba Theis (ÖASG).
