VOICE 3.0 – Virtual Release
On Thu, 23 Sept 2021 at 3.00 pm (CEST), the VOICE CLARIAH will celebrate the completion and open-access launch of the new version of VOICE (Vienna-Oxford International Corpus of English). The VOICE 3.0 – Virtual Release Event will be a two-hour web event that includes a tour of the new open-access VOICE 3.0 Online interface as well as a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse at the technological and digital humanities aspects of building VOICE 3.0 Online and VOICE 3.0 XML. The presentation of VOICE 3.0 is followed by a Q&A session with the VOICE CLARIAH project team and the creators of VOICE.
The team is excited to share the increased research potential that VOICE 3.0 offers for the description of English as a lingua franca (ELF) communication – and, more broadly, for the study of interactive spoken data and for work with multilingual corpora.
