CURRICULUM VITAE (short)

Katrin completed her BA/MA in conservation and restoration of audiovisual and photographic cultural heritage at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW), Berlin followed by a conservation traineeship at the ZKM center for art and media in Karlsruhe. From 2017 on, Katrin did freelance audio conservation and restoration for two years in Berlin and holds since then also responsible for the audio collection and parts of the photograph collections at the Filmmuseum Potsdam, Germany.

Since 2020, she has been entrusted with the conservation and digitization of audio media at the Phonogrammarchiv. From Nov 2021 to Oct 2025 she is project manager in the interdisciplinary research project "Sonic Memories - Audio Letters in Times of Migration and Mobility".
