A warm welcome to our new guest researcher at the OeAI Athens: Serena Nicolì is an Erasmus traineeship student from the School of Specialization of the University of Salerno. She is focusing on the Bronze Age of the broader areas of Crete and Peloponnese. During her 5-months internship at the OeAI Athens she is editing and processing the GIS’s existing raw geo-dataset of archaeological sites in the Northern Peloponnese.

Patricia Valle Abad is a Spanish postdoctoral researcher from the University of Vigo, on the Fellowship program Margarita Salas. She we will be with us at the OeAI Athens until 2023. During her stay, she will focus on her research on the evolution and transformation of the funerary customs in the Mediterranean area during the Roman period, obtaining a general view of the burial practices. This will allow her comparing the wide region of the Empire with others, like the Atlantic coast, to see if the changes in the funerary customs evolved simultaneously in the different regions of the Empire or there were high regional differences.
