Cycles of crisis and recovery in Byzantine and Ottoman Macedonia

The event is organised on short notice to take advantage of the presence of Prof. Izdebski and Dr Liakopoulos in Vienna on occasion of the annual Congress of the European Geophysics Union.

In their lecture, they will present some results of their project on the interplay between societies of the past, natural environment and climate in the Byzantine and Ottoman Balkans.
