Liam Dolan will join the GMI as a senior group leader

We are delighted to announce that Liam Dolan will be joining the GMI as a senior group leader!

Liam, currently the Sherardian Professor of Botany at Oxford University, is an eminent developmental biologist who has made seminal contributions to our understanding of root development and evolution, publishing more than 140 papers and reviews and having been awarded two ERC Advanced Grants throughout his distinguished career. For his achievements, he has been elected a member of EMBO as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Liam will be joining the GMI full time starting this fall where he will continue to study root development, with a focus on understanding how roots first evolved in land plants roughly 470 million years ago.
