Research interests

I am passionate about understanding the mechanisms of early human development, focusing on how self-organization and signaling pathways establish and maintain lineage proportions during embryogenesis. My research uses advanced stem cell-based models, such as human blastoids, to study human-specific processes previously inaccessible due to ethical and technical constraints. I have published multiple first-author papers in leading journals (Nature, Cell, Nature Protocols), advancing knowledge on human blastoids and early cell fate decisions. My current interests include self-organization, lineage specification, the impact of tissue proportions on developmental robustness, and multi-omics approaches to uncover molecular networks. My work aims to bridge developmental biology and translational science to improve reproductive health and early developmental outcomes.
