Kryštof Zeman is working at the Vienna Institute of Demography since 2008 as academy scientist. His main focus is study of fertility, in particular fertility databases as Human Fertility Database, Human Fertility Collection, Birth Barometer, European Demographic Datasheet, and, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a recent project of Short-Term Fertility Fluctuations.
Kryštof Zeman has studied at the Charles University in Prague, including studies at the University of Amsterdam, and at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock. He completed PhD in Demography in 2004. In 2004–2008 he worked at the Demographic Statistics Section of the Czech Statistical Office.
