PostDoc position in EU funded project

The research group on Family and Labour Market is headed by Caroline Berghammer and offers a PostDoc position for a period of 4 years. The research group studies how families and couples organise paid and unpaid work – considering e.g. part-time employment, flexible employment, housework and childcare – and examines the resulting impacts on demographic behaviour (e.g. fertility, union dissolution), well-being and gender equality.

The research group is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join the project “Families and inequality in a flexible world of work” (FLIN; funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant). This project uses international time-use data and other data sources to investigate the role of flexible working (working from home, flextime) for family time (time with children and partner) and gender equality in the distribution of paid and unpaid work in couples.
