ABSTRACT:

The transformation behavior of steel during the cooling process is essential for the physical properties of the material. In the context of this work, an application-oriented model for the efficient numerical simulation of the phase transformation during cooling is developed. The model is based on existing semi-empirical transformation models from literature, which are adapted and expanded. Experimental data obtained from dilatometry tests are used to calibrate the fit-parameters and validate the results.
