SC: Generalizations of linearization formulae for continuous hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials

We discuss the present state of linearization formulae for continuous hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials whose coefficients are given in terms of generalized hypergeometric functions. We then derive generalizations of these linearization formulae by applying connection relations to them. In particular, we discuss generalized linearization coefficients for Laguerre, Gegenbauer, and Jacobi polynomials. We also attempt to analyse the various limiting behaviors of the resulting coefficients and will discuss various q-analogues of these generalized linearization formulae as well as their limiting behaviors.
