Titel: Feedback Stabilization of a Sterile Insect Control System and Observability of Coupled Linear PDE Systems

Abstract: 

The first part of this presentation focuses on the design of feedback control laws for the sterile insect technique control system, using both control-theoretic tools and reinforcement learning techniques, with the objective of optimizing sterile insect releases, driving the mosquito population to extinction, and preventing resurgence. The second part of the presentation is devoted to theoretical results on coupled partial differential equation systems. We present a generalization of algebraic techniques, including the Silverman–Meadows and Kalman rank conditions, for the null controllability of coupled heat equations with time-dependent coupling and control matrices, and for the observability of coupled Schrödinger systems, respectively.
