Josef Penninger is the ASMR Medalist 2009

The ASMR Medical Research Week is the annual flagship event of the Australian Society for Medical Research. It is held at the beginning of June and comprises a vast number of scientific meetings and public outreach events all over the continent.

This year's special guest is Josef Penninger who will be touring Australia, giving talks at each state capital. On June 3rd, he will address the acclaimed National Press Club in Canberra and receive the ASMR Medal 2009.
The Medal is awarded each year to a distinguished individual in the medical research community for their scientific achievements and for their advocacy in raising awareness of medical research.
