Josef Penninger elected EMBO Member

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) has announced the election of fifty-nine leading life scientists from Europe and around the world as new members of the organization.

Among the distinguished scientists is Josef Penninger, IMBA's Scientific Director. EMBO Members represent a high-profile cross section of researchers from all fields of molecular life sciences . Membership is a life-long honour with new members nominated and elected annually by existing members. The 2008 election brings the current membership total to 1360.
