International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 11 February

IMBA expresses its gratitude to all its scientists, especially the women among them, and those who identify with the female gender!

11.02.2022

To this end, we share the two most recent IMBA videos featuring women researchers:

In the first video, Research Associate Nina Corsini talks about the latest published advancements of the Knoblich Research Group together with Scientific Director Jürgen Knoblich. In this short video, the two researchers explain the impact of their brain organoid model adapted to the study of the rare developmental genetic disorder Tuberous Sclerosis.

In the second video, Master's student and lab researcher Sahra Tasdelen talks to the Science Reporter Martin Moder of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) about organoid research at IMBA and introduces him to her own research project, in German. In this fun video, Martin Moder discovers with amazement the broad possibilities of this branch of biotechnological research under the capable guidance of Sahra Tasdelen.
