The 3Rs price is granted by NC3Rs (National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research) and is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline. Its goal is to recognize excellence in science, which minimizes animal use or improves animal welfare. Today Madeline Lancaster leads her own laboratory at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.
