How to get our Data into the Computer: Tools for Data Collection and Presentation and the need for a joint Digital Infrastructure in the Cluster

While there is a growing number of available data base tools for the humanities, they very much differ in the amount of flexibility, required expertise, and technical as well as financial resources. At this hybrid event, two data base systems specifically developed for historical, textual, archaeological and spatial data at the Austrian Center for Digital Humanities (Austrian Academy of Sciences) will be presented: APIS ( https://www.oeaw.ac.at/acdh/research/dh-research-infrastructure/resources/software-services/apis) and OpenAtlas (https://openatlas.eu/). Participants will have the opportunity to explore these two systems themselves – and to discuss individual needs for data base tools as well as for digital infrastructure in our Cluster of Excellence at large.
