24ᵗʰ Annual Conference on European Tort Law

After two intensive days, the entire ETL (Austrian Academy of Sciences and University of Graz) and ECTIL team looks back with great joy on the 24th Annual Conference on European Tort Law, held last week in the Festsaal of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. This year's Special Session focused on "Forever chemicals – PFAS and tort law", attracting many prominent speakers and participants from about 35 countries. The developments in the respective jurisdictions will appear again in the Yearbook (E Karner/BC Steininger, European Tort Law 2024 [2025], to be published in autumn 2025), while the written reports of the Special Session will be featured in the Journal of European Tort Law (JETL) in summer 2025. In addition, a detailed conference report will again be published in the Austrian journal, ‘Zeitschrift für Verkehrsrecht’ (ZVR).

The 25th Annual Conference on European Tort Law will be held on 9-10 April 2026.
