"We are pleased that we now also have the opportunity to present our videos on YouTube," says ITA Director Michael Nentwich. "As an institute that attaches particular importance to data security and privacy protection, we hesitated for a long time, but the recent changes in data protection regulations have made it acceptable for us. The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OEAW) also already has a lively YouTube channel. We look forward to networking with them and to many exciting video projects in the future."
Especially during the long lockdown phases of the pandemic, video contributions have established themselves as a very good way to disseminate content - including scientific content - by reaching people everywhere, including at home in the home office. The Austrian Academy of Sciences has started to record purely online as well as hybrid events and make them available on its YouTube channel. We at the ITA already started recording events and will keep this format to enable more people to listen in.
