The new ITA website continues to offer access to all projects, publications and events. The biggest addition is a chapter devoted to current and reoccurring TA topics. To reach audiences outside of the TA community, we have translated many of our more technical texts and optimised them for web. We’ve also updated the section on the question what TA really is and which methods it uses.
TA Topics explained
In a newly added chapter we are introducing TA topics for interested lay persons. These topic pages are interlinked with other parts of the website, in particular with the projects. Browsing from there, users have the opportunity to get an overview of the manifold activities of the ITA.
News portal and social media
From now on you will also be able to read about the latest ITA research activities and other information from the world of TA in the form of short news articles. You can access our latest news via the homepage, via RSS feed or via our E-mail list. You can also download the latest ITA Review, which comfortably captures several news as a PDF.
As part of our new media appearance we have also redesigned our Facebook and Twitter pages.
Integrated Full Text Search
The new search engine enables users not only to research publications, projects or keywords. In addition to the pages of the website search results also include the full texts of all ITA publications available on EPUB.OEAW, and are shown in an order that gives you quick access to the most relevant data.
New series: ITA Dossiers
Another novelty is our new publication series: The ITA Dossiers will sum up important conclusions from our work for involved people in politics as well as the public. The first two ITA Dossiers deal with Cyberscience and Technology Controversies.
Let us know how you like the new website and send us an email to webmaster.ita(at)oeaw.ac.at – we look forward to hear your opinion!
